Giving Back to the Community—Pro Bono Work
Showcase for the Cure Benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
Each year, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) works with a Triangle area home builder, and a select group of interior designers, to build, design interiors and completely furnish a luxury home in the area. The builder and designers acquire donations of products and services so that LLS receives a financial donation upon the sale of the home and furnishings. Colorful Concepts is proud to be part of this endeavor as show by their participation in the four descriptions below.
Fall 2008 Showcase Home, in Hasentree
Open during the Parade of Homes, Oct. 4 – Oct.19, 2008, Colorful Concepts has been invited to return for the fourth time. Our task is to design the living area of the large basement of a $2 million dollar home by Phil Miller Construction.
This traditional style home lends itself well to a basement area designed to entertain. The large windows stream plenty of natural light onto the stained concrete floor, stone fireplace, warm wood wainscoting, and kitchen area. With access to two decks, a guest bedroom and bath, and a home theatre, this full basement makes for a fabulous retreat.
Spring 2008 Showcase Home, in Hasentree
Colorful Concepts designed the Master Bedroom Suite in this $1.2 million home, built by Thomas Gipson Homes. The interior design carried through with the contemporary style of the 4,500 square foot home.
Fall 2006 Showcase Home, in Lynville
The Designer Show House—a $2 million home—was built by Silver Crest Homes. Colorful Concepts worked with another designer, to design and furnish the study, hallway, and formal powder room.
Fall 2005 NHI Dream Home, Benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
Colorful Concepts was invited to design the Art Gallery Hall in this $4 million Baldwin Home. Enlisting donations of artwork from a dozen area artists, we brought together an stimulating display. We also worked with several IDS Triangle East Chapter members to design and furnish the upstairs family room and office.
In addition to the work done for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Colorful Concepts is proud to have helped St. Francis of Assisi.
St. Francis of Assisi Total Youth Ministry(TYM) Program
Colorful Concepts was responsible for the logo design and the creation of TYM’s Youth Room. We also served as project manager for the renovation of the site.
