Showcase for the Cure Benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
Each year, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) works with a Triangle area home builder, and a select group of interior designers, to build and completely furnish and design a luxury home in the Triangle area. The builder works to acquire donations of products and services while building the home, so that LLS receives a financial donation upon the sale of the home. Likewise, the designers work to acquire donations of furniture and décor, so that all items can be available for sale via silent auction, with proceeds going to LLS. For more information about the Showcase for a Cure, visit the LLS website.
Fall 2008 Showcase Home, in Hasentree
Open during the Parade of Homes, Fridays and Saturdays Oct.4 – Oct.19, 2008
Colorful Concepts was invited to return for the fourth time, to design the living area of the large basement of a $2 million dollar home by Phil Miller Construction. This traditional style home, with a European flair, will lend itself well to a basement area designed to entertain adults after an evening dinner, or teens hanging out on a leisurely weekend afternoon. The large windows stream plenty of natural light onto the stained concrete floor, stone fireplace, warm wood wainscoting, and kitchen area. With access to two decks, a guest bedroom and bath, and a home theatre, this full basement makes for a fabulous retreat. Photos will be available mid to end of September. Be sure to visit the home in October!
