This client's home was transformed with light, crisp colors and finishes. With a fresh coat of paint and simply decorated table, this entry is prepared to welcome all who come through its front door. A delicate trio of pendant lights, stately mirror and colorful rugs, add just the right amount of ambience to this space.

Finding inspiration in organic shapes, natural finishes and bold colors, a specific collection of well thought out pieces now adorn her living room.  A bold, geometric rug covers the hardwood floors, providing a powerful starting point to pull this open living space together.  Atop the rug is stunning acacia wood cocktail table surrounded by a gray sectional and curved, low-back sofa.  In rhythm with the hues and movement of the area rug, a wall arrangement of custom Doug Frates Glass art adds another unique touch.  On the opposite wall, a custom wall unit provides the perfect amount of storage space and provides the client with space to display the finds from her many travels.

Just off the hall from the living room, the embellished armoire in the master bedroom catches your eye.  A pop of color draws attention to the painted trey ceiling where a glamorous pendant emits a soft glow.  Bottom-up, top-down window shades coupled with unlined drapery give the client the opportunity to determine the amount of natural light allowed into the space while still considering privacy.  Luxurious, soft-hued bed linens and high-end furniture pieces complete this heavenly master bedroom retreat.

Bright with natural light, the sunroom consists of organic lines and a neutral color palette inspired by the living room.  Existing pieces were revitalized to become “new” again, such as the new granite top for the coffee table and a fresh coat of paint for the media cabinet.  One-of-a-kind, original photography by the client’s late husband, some even retaining their initial mats, is proudly displayed in a wall collage.

Discovering her appreciation for decorative details and fine art and craft, we were able to provide her with a fresh start at her beautiful home in Carolina Preserve.
