Warm and inviting, the Foyer, Dining Room, and Music Room achieve a balanced color palette of neutrals and pops of color. Front and center, a flamboyant flower arrangement in a vintage vase rests on a grey mahogany centre table from Jonathan Charles. The curvature in the quatrefoil base of the centre table and adjacent dining set’s fretwork and splat back chairs, coordinate with the stair balustrade design as well as the carved top in the pair of tall display cabinets. Artwork, energized with color, and antique décor treasures from our client’s personal collection complete the look of each room.

Small but powerful in its design, the Powder Room is fierce in floral with Longwood patterned wallpaper from Thibaut. A dark wood vanity and its chocolatey granite countertop grounds a delicately carved mirror and bronze wall sconces, creating the perfect contrast against the colorful paper. On the adjacent wall, the painting’s bright and demanding shade of blue emulates the smaller scale of the hue found in the wallpaper flower petals.

The open-concept floor plan of the Family Room, Breakfast Room, and Kitchen allows the warm and neutral color palette to flow seamlessly throughout. Natural light flooding in from the sliding door and Sunroom windows helps highlight the wood grain found in the custom finish of the breakfast table and chairs by Saloom. In the Family Room, the auburn pillows accenting the slate gray motorized reclining Hancock & Moore sofas helps further establish the red accent in the Safavieh wool rug below, while also serving as a complementary color to the light green walls. An assortment of whimsical, hand-crafted metal décor finds its home atop the mantel, guaranteed to prompt a smile from any viewer. Carrying the metal accents further into the Family Room, an organic arrangement of iron metal leaves with mercury glass centers adorn the sidewall, simply flowing into the adjoining spaces. Perfect for achieving a peace of mind, the Sunroom emulates comfort and clarity with its tall windows and natural light. A vintage bed swing decorated with an assortment of colorful pillows from Surya, is a desirable spot for relaxing and enjoying a good book. The calming blue wall color provides the overall pop of color surrounding cream upholstery and white-washed case goods. Hints of yellow and orange found in the artwork and décor add a bit of warmth to the space. Illuminated by string lights, a wood and mesh globe with moss detailing descends from the ceiling in the corner, providing the final touch of visual interest to this Sunroom.

Upstairs, the sophisticated style and dreamy color palette of blush tones and light cream are elevated with a burst of natural light in the Teen’s Bedroom. Commissioned pieces by Angela Marie Art and a small air-plant wall adorn the bedroom walls adding fun pops of visual interest. A grouping of mercury glass pendants are the perfect touch of ambient lighting over the chaise and blush furry accent pillow, creating a cozy lounging corner. The feminine textures and layers of bed linens from Peacock Alley and accent pillows are paired with edgy polished nickel wall sconces and bedside tables.

Down the hall, the Young Boy’s Bedroom reveals a fun, Marvel superhero theme with framed prints of Thor, Ironman, and Spiderman showcased on the walls alongside custom initial wall plaques. Offset bedside lamps and an arc-style floor lamp by Nova of California add additional ambient lighting and a contemporary-feel to the bedroom. A bright pop of turquoise on each bedroom door is a playful complement to the various shades of blue established around the space through décor, bedding, and braided rug from Capel Rugs.

Downstairs, an antique Chinese red lacquer cabinet grounds an antique wallpaper printing block in the entryway of the Master Bedroom. A glamorous tufted king bed with a distressed wood finish is highlighted with bed linens from Peacock Alley and surrounded by lovely wooden bedside tables by Hickory White. The cozy fireplace sitting area rests neutral upholstery surrounded by hues of blue from the peaceful “A Drive Through Virginia” painting by J Austin Jennings, and pale blue glass Optimist table lamps by Currey & Company. Continuing the restful, spa-like atmosphere, the Master Bathroom encompasses a pale green wall color and floral “Flourish” by York Wallcoverings wallpaper in the water closet. Large ceramic rose wall brooches by Global Views rest above the luxurious jetted tub as a crystal chandelier catches the natural light from the large shuttered windows.
